It’s Christmas in July here on PlayLibrary as I’m highlighting another must-have toy for the 2008 holiday shopping season. Disney is promoting its new WALL-E Remote Control Robot toy, which retails for $249.00 and will be available for pre-order on October 16, 2008.
The Ultimate WALL-E Remote Control Robot is intended for children ages 8 and up, but I’d imagine the whole family could enjoy playing with it together. It’s got a lot of features including the original voice of WALL-E from the movie, eyes that light up and blink and audio, motion and obstacle sensors. Here’s a quick rundown of some more features:
- WALL-E dances, plays music from your MP3 player, follows you or explores on his own.
- Programmable infrared remote control lets you create 1000+ action sequence combinations.
- WALL-E turns his head towards a sound and responds.
- WALL-E’s hands move up and down, grip and rotate 360-degrees.
- WALL-E’s body tilts forward and backwards.
- WALL-E’s treads are real and work.
- Interactive Talk Back feature.
- Remote control allows WALL-E to be played with using Touch Pad control, dual joy sticks or any of the 16 function buttons for voice, lights, sound effects, music, and more.
The Ultimate WALL-E Remote Control Robot comes with an MP3 backpack and connection cable, an instruction guide and a 7.2V rechargeable battery pack and charger. 4 AA batteries are required (demonstration batteries are included), and the remote control requires 3 AA batteries (not included). The Ultimate WALL-E Remote Control Robot measures in at 18″H x 15 1/2″W x 13″D.

Geeky husband to loving wife; I know what I want from Santa this year…
JUST GOT MINE!!! I’ve seen a lot of toys in my years with kids but this one takes the cake. Worth every penny! I just got it a few days ago from Rusty’s Toy Chest (rustystoychest.ecrater.com) and my kids just love it! They seem to be hard to find and I’m not sure if they have any more, so good luck. If you were like me and saw the movie and couldn’t wait to have your own Wall-E, this is the one you want.
Omg Wall-E! AWESOME!
A complete waste of money!!!! Whats the price tag on this thing? Over $200 right? But has a range of a few feet?? !!!! Come on. Even cheap Radio Shack RC toys have a respectible operation range. This thing is horrible. If you liked this item you are the exact market these people are looking for… the consumer that just does not know better.
