We’re having a Halloween costume contest here at Play Library. So dress up your little goblins and ghouls grab the camera, snap a picture then follow the instructions below to get entered to win a SanDisk II~ 8 GB SDHC Card ($79.99 value).
I’m extra excited about the prize we’re offering to the winner. Sandisk is partnering with Play Library to offer the winner a SanDisk Ultra II, the ultimate card for great photos all year long. I got to try out one of SanDisk’s SD cards in my own camera, I’ll have a review for you early next week (but I’m loving it!).
Now for the Halloween Costume Contest rules (You must follow the rules to be entered):
- Step 1: Simply upload your photo to Flickr, then add your image to SanDisk’s Flickr Photo group, and make sure you tag it with “Halloween,” and “SanDisk” when you add it to the group.
- Step 2: And this is important! When you’re done uploading your photo, come back here and leave a comment, with a quick description of your photo.
- Please note: We will be featuring some of the costumes here at Play Library over the next couple weeks. By uploading your photo to the group and tagging it with Halloween, and SanDisk you are also giving us the right feature your photo here at Play Library. If you don’t want your photo featured for some reason, please let me know when you leave your comment.
- The winner will be selected from a random draw at the end of the contest.
- One entry per person.
- The photo doesn’t have to be from this Halloween, any cute (or scary) and appropriate child in a costume will be great for the contest! The image must be your own, and it can’t be an image from a professional photography studio.
- Contest is open to residents of the US only.
- The contest will run from October 8th, to October 26th at midnight EST.
- I will post the winner here at Play Library, and notify them by email. Subscribe to Play Library so you don’t miss any of the action! The winner will have 3 days to get back to me before I’ll have to pick another winner.
Make sure you share this contest with your friends, or give it a quick Retweet on Twitter by pressing the Retweet button at the top of this post. Good Luck!

Does the picture need to be from Halloween 2009? Or can it be a picture from a previous year?
Karen~ The picture can be from any time:-) Good question, I’m going to add that to the rules above. Thanks!
This is our daughter Phoenix she is a Pipe organ made from %100 scratch it took almost a month to make it. it all started from a cardboard box and glue construction paper and the best part about his costume is that it actually plays people can come up to her and play it its amazing I hope that you like it as much as we do we even put wheels on it to help maneuver wonderfully a lot of time sweat and tears went in to it. She loves being able to be in a parade and having her dad spend so much time to make this costume for her. Its great because it is such a family effort into it and she loves music so much. She is wearing a gold wig type thing to keep with the brassy look
I just uploaded a picture of my son as Swiper the Fox.
Dora the Explorer is my son’s favorite show, so his grandmother made him a Swiper the Fox costume. She did it without any patterns, just modeled it after pictures of Swiper the fox.
Hi,
I tried to add the following image (http://www.flickr.com/photos/37655125@N00/2990536588/) to the competition. Hopefully, it worked.
The image is of my daugher as a Babee (Baby Bee) on her first Halloween. The image was taken by me. She was uncertain as to why I put her in the costume but soon proceeded onwards as if she wasn’t wearing it. I guess at this age Halloween is more for the parents than for the little ones. I think she looked adorable. Of course, I am biased. – Stephanie Hepburn
I just uploaded a picture of my son dressed up as a Lollipop Guild munchkin. His name is Simon and he is 1 yr old. The whole get-up was put together mostly from items at Goodwill.
I just uploaded a picture of my grandson in his costume. http://www.flickr.com/photos/organize/
Jacob, 19 months old, went “trunk-or-treating” this past weekend, and was much happier without the Yoda ears! The picture posted certainly captures the frightful spirit of Halloween.
I uploaded my little ones in their costumes for this year. They are a milk truck and cow! I had a blast making their costumes!
THANKS!
