Play Library

Why You Should Visit Play Library

Roll-a-Rounds Drop & Roar DinosaurPlay Library has been in existence for about a year-and-a-half now. It’s gone through several transformations from being a part of the About Weblogs network to joining b5media six months in and just after we celebrated our first birthday, I invited the fun-loving Kerri Aldrich to join us. Now I think Play Library has a much better balance of straight-up news and information about toys and personal stories about playtime with our kids.

Unlike other places where you’ll find people sharing their cool finds for children, Play Library is a little more pedestrian. I don’t mean this in a bad way. What I mean is that Kerri and I are average mothers who encounter average toys and have average experiences. BUT, I think that’s what makes Play Library unique.

Play Library is a place where you can find parents who you can identify with. We’re not the hippest around but we love our kids and want the best for them. Not every toy, game, book, or other goody we’ve chosen for our kids have tremendous educational value but they do make our kids happy and sometimes that’s enough. Other times, we really do our research to find all that enhances a child’s play experience. Whatever we find, we share with you.

So here’s why we think should visit Play Library:

  1. Kerri and I are parents just like you and we like to make friends!
  2. While we like weird and unique toys too, we know that kids go for whatever everyone else has got. So we share with you what’s hot with the kiddy crowd right here, right now.
  3. Play Library isn’t just show–a picture and a link–we tell too. Perhaps sometimes a little too much. ;)
  4. More than shopping, Play Library is about the importance of play and we share with you tips for making playtime fun.
  5. Most importantly, Play Library is about family life and community of which every single person is a member.

Won’t you tell us (in the comments or by email) why you visit and what you think we should improve upon?

    Could have fooled me too!

By the way, I may have stepped on your toes with my post today, but I just had to share.

  3. Kerri: It’s ok, you can stay as deluded as always. HahAHaAHhAHAhha

    Kate: OUCH!!! Just kidding. ;)
