She Knows Parties

A New Product and a New Contest: What to Do Pad from WhoMi

shop call and do pad

You know what I dislike most about party planning? Keeping track of all that needs to be done. I’m not an organized person so you can imagine how little scraps of paper with phone numbers and shopping lists get lost. That’s why I love this What to Do Pad from WhoMi. Featuring separate pads on the same page, party planners can see at a glance what needs to be bought, who needs to be called, and what actions will need to be taken. There’s not going through different notebook pages, there’s no hunting up Post It’s that fell to the ground, it’s one notebook featuring three pads. Get a closer look by viewing the video product review below:

Do you like the What to Do Pad? I have five to give away! Tell me about an interesting or unusual party idea in the comments and I’ll enter your name to be chosen at random. It can be a theme, a decoration or any unique aspect of party planning. You have until April 20th, 2008.

Thanks for playing!

I’m big on cocktail and appy’s for parties. I have everyone bring there choice of appy and I come up with a new drink every time – it’s fun.

Every year we have a big Halloween party. The only way I can keep it organized is I have a list of things to do Wednesday – Saturday. After the party and clean up I always make sure this list gets put with my books of ideas. This would work for every party, if a list is kept with your party supplies. Saves lots of time and stress.
    thank you

We have a crockpot pot luck. Everything from appetizers and desserts have to be made in a crock pot. Then everyone just unplugs their crockpots and bring them to the host’s house. We have some of those computer multi plug jacks so we can plug in several crocks on one counter.

  4. Lara Aleff says:

My friend had a birthday party for her kids which included all of the holidays. They hunted easter eggs, carved pumpkins, decorated cookies, and made Valentines.

Mum of the sister has adhered gifts on a string, and we with the fastened eyes by turns approached and have cut off each surprise!

I want to host another Dollar Daze party – it was basically 10 of us and we all had to bring as much food as we could purchase with $5, and as much entertainment as we could purchase with $5. Who needs a $10 bottle of wine that nobody’s going to drink when you can have a metric ton of ramen noodles and a basket of games like “ball-in-the-cup” and “paddleball”??

  8. Ed Nemmers says:

A minimal dress-up party: Hats and Heels Party! One must wear either a fancy bonnet or cool foot coverings!

My family picks a book and have we themed parties using that as a springboard. We do one of these a month and it’s so much fun.

Party idea; wayout yet elegant; A pompeii theme right before eruption of the volcano; or the lost city of Atlantis; very hard to find decent adult themed parties. Many thanks SW

  11. Christie says:

To go along with the “Rockstar” video game, we invite people to dress up as a rockstar and have a karoke contest!

  12. Lisha Marie says:

We have a Karaoke Halloween party where everyone comes dressed as the singer of the songs they’re going to play. That means everyone dresses up and everyone participates!!!

A great idea is a taste testing party–buy several types of items such as wines and cheeses and set up your own taste test!! FUN!

  14. Veronica Garrett says:

I planned a Medieval Party. Of course everyone had to dress in period clothes and the food was like the food in Medieval times but I added other things. A dating game wher the men had to woo the women using the same means as the ones used in the Medieval times. I also had a karoake contest wher the only songs allowed were Medieval tunes.

We love our Wii parties…but make the food themed for the game. For bowling night it’s bowling alley food…mini corn dogs, mini burgers, barbeque pizza. For Guitar Hero night it’s all bar food…chicken wings, ff, grilled sandwhiches.

A St. Patrick’s Day potluck party… all the food has to be green. People get really creative and it is fun.
Also, I love giving the first person to RSVP a prize at the party. After being at a party where this was done, I always call immediately to RSVP when I get an invite! This makes thw Hostess happy as well so she can plan accordingly!
