Baby Shower Cake Ideas

Our local county fair is finishing up tomorrow. One of my favorite things to check out is the cake decorating competition. I always think I’m going to enter myself, but I never do. There are always some fabulous cakes entered. Some of my favorites this year were the in the baby shower category.
All of these cakes were behind glass, so they have a little glare.
My favorite baby shower theme cake was this one with all of it’s details and adorable fondant baby blanket.
The little rubber duck theme is very popular for baby showers. This duck cake would make an adorable addition.
I really like this cake with the cradle, stars and moons. I wish I could have captured a better shot of it. It would be adorable for a little boy’s baby shower, or a lullaby theme baby shower.
Maybe next year I’ll get brave enough to enter one of my own creations. There were many more beautiful cakes for weddings and birthdays. I might be back with a few more in the next few days.
