Christmas Party Idea #1

Aren’t the holidays just wonderful? I love everything about them and one thing that I love the most – attending and throwing the parties! Over the next few weeks I’ll give you some Christmas party ideas. I’ll cover everything from the elegant party to the casual one with family and friends. I’ll also definitely cover kids Christmas parties. I have 3 kids, so I know a thing or two about kids’ parties.

Here’s idea #1: Jesus Birthday Party
For those of you who attend a Christian church and celebrate Christmas with your church family, why not throw Jesus a birthday party? Here are some ideas that I got from a friend of mine who coordinates this at her church:
- Have everyone bring their favorite holiday dish to share.
- Let the kids decorate cupcakes and make ornaments.
- Decorate the church Christmas tree together.
- Sing “Happy Birthday” to Jesus.
- Invite Santa to come and visit with the kids and get their picture taken with him.
This can be a fun and laid back party with church friends and a great way to start off the holiday season. Not to mention, a great way to get everyone’s help in decorating the church building.

another thing we have done, Julie, is to have everyone bring an unwrapped “birthday” gift to donate to toys for tots etc.
I never saw this comment from you! Weird.
That’s a great idea. Thanks Marye!
