Create a Schedule of Events – Kid Birthday Party Tip

pen-and-paper.jpgOne thing I have learned over the years about hosting a successful kid birthday party in your home, is to create a schedule of events. This serves two purposes: 1) it keeps the kids entertained at all times so they are not bored and getting into mischief and 2) if lets everyone (aka the parents) know when the party is over.

Creating a schedule and sticking to it can also help you, the host/hostess, stay more calm and the end result will be you enjoying the party also, which is a must!

There are several ways to make sure everyone knows about the schedule and what all is going to happen at the party:

  • Put the schedule of events in the inivitations.
  • Hand everyone a schedule when they walk in the door.
  • Post the schedule somewhere in your home where everyone can see it.

Creating a schedule may see like no fun, but if the party has a natural flow and is filled with some scheduled activities, everyone will enjoy themselves more.
