Decorating For Thanksgiving With a Fall Wreath

IMG_4462 When you’re decorating for a fall or Thanksgiving party, don’t forget a festive fall wreath for your door or entryway.

If you’d like to make your own, pick up a plain grapevine, or straw wreath, fall leaves or flowers, and greenery at your local craft store. Or preserve your own leaves and flowers from your yard or garden. Lay your wreath frame out on a table and get out the hot glue gun.

I usually start with the greenery, or in a fall wreath you can use brown leaves for the background on your wreath. I just start with one type of greenery and hot glue the leaves all around on the wreath to form the background. Then add the flowers of your choice all around the wreath until the whole wreath is full and lush.

Finish your wreath off with a large fall colored bow, a couple ears of indian corn, or some mini pumpkins.

You don’t have to decorate the whole wreath, you can decorate one side, or part of the wreath, and let the vine, or straw show through on the rest.
