holiday entertaining The weeks in November are flying by! I still have so much to do to get ready for the holidays. It’s hard to believe Thanksgiving will be here in less than 2 weeks.

I have some fun links for you this week, most of them are to help you get moving with your holiday preparations.

Risotto is the basis for many wonder meals: here’s one with red peppers and Italian sausage!

Check out these cute Cooking Gadgets, meet the Rhinestone Robots, a set of serving dishes made from recycled parts! Wouldn’t these be a great conversation starter at your next party?

How cute is this March of the Penguins Cheese Ball? There will be smiles all around when your guests glimpse these cute little penguins marching around the cheese ball igloo.

Walking Can Reduce Chocolate Cravings. But why on earth would you want to? That’s the best part of the holidays, chocolate overload!

Cookie Pops are fun to create with your kids, and make wonderful Christmas presents.

One thing that I need to do this week is to declutter my fridge for the holidays. Jennifer shares some great tips.

Tired of pumpkin pie already? How about some Thanksgiving cakes instead?

Make Ahead Mashed Potatoes- These mashed potatoes are creamy, fluffy and garlicky — everything good mashed potatoes should be. And they’re perfect for holiday entertaining.

Instead of going shopping the day after Thanksgiving, plan a Thanksgiving tea party.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. Stop back and let us know how your holiday planning and prep is going.

Love the make-ahead mashed potatoes recipe! I need to do that since a very busy season of life is about to hit us (basketball - and my DH works for the local university team)
