Groom’s Cake Ideas

The groom’s cake is a wedding tradition dating back to the early 19th century. It’s usually much smaller than the bride’s cake (the official wedding cake), and it often has a unique flavor that fits the tastes of the groom. Grooms cakes don’t have to be the traditional chocolate or vanilla, they can be any flavor the groom or the happy couple decide on, including strawberry, carrot cake, spice, or lemon.
Groom’s cakes have evolved through the years and these days they’re often created to include the groom’s personality. Here are some ideas just for the groom and his cake.
Highlight the grooms attire, or the color of the wedding with a tuxedo cake.

Let the groom put a little bit of their personality into the wedding with a fun grooms cake that reflects their interests or hobbies.

My favorite has always been the red velvet armadillo in the movie Steel Magnolias.
Love the golf one – I wonder if I can get a radio mic done up for our wedding… Great blog!
