Jenna Bush’s Wedding Cake

In case you’ve been living under a rock, President Bush’s daughter Jenna got married last weekend. The Presidential family did a great job of keeping most of the celebration details quiet until the last minute.
At any party I’m all about the cake, and I think Jenna’s cake was beautiful. It was simply elegant, decorated with wonderful fresh flowers. I love the whites, blues, and green accents mixed together.
I love how they tilted the top layer with the flowers peeking out from underneath. I also love the mini bouquets stuck into each layer, it just adds that perfect splash of color.

I’m glad I read this review, explaining why the top layer was tilted, because I thought it was falling off. Not sure I liked that detail, but otherwise very pretty.
It had a mean lean on the top. I’ve been trying to find out who made the cake. It was really beautiful, but it leaned a bit at the top. I can’t imagine the angle of the camera would make it look that way – it was leaning. Who did make that cake?
The Ultimate Cheesecake Bakery in San Antonio made the cake. It was a tres leches/dulche de leche combination with whipped icing. Mary Jane Ontiveroz did the decorating and set-up.
