Mardi Gras Cocktail Recipe

Looking for something new and delicious for your Mardi Gras party this year? I have a few ideas and recipes coming up here at She Knows Parties, but I thought I’d start things off with a yummy cocktail courtesy of Don Julio.
Try an upscale version of a piña colada for your Mardi Gras celebrations- the Don Julio Colada. This unique twist on the standard frozen drink, made with ultra-premium Tequila Don Julio, is sure to be a crowd-pleaser this Fat Tuesday.
Don Julio Colada

Ingredients:
1 1/2 ounces Tequila Don Julio Reposado
2 ounces cream of coconut
3 ounces pineapple juice
2 ounces fresh lime juice
5 dashes bitters
Cherries and coconut shavings for garnish
Ice cubes
Preparation:
1. Add Tequila Don Julio, cream of coconut, pineapple juice, fresh lime juice, bitters and ice in a blender. Blend until smooth.
2. Pour contents into a hollowed coconut shell.
3. Garnish with cherries and coconut shavings.
Ideal Serving Glass:
Coconut shell
Yield:
1 drink
