Fall means it’s time for Octoberfest parties, so whip out your beer steins and start celebrating! I know there are some big Oktoberfest festivals and parties out there, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have a few friends over and celebrate yourself.
If the weather cooperates have the party in your back yard, mother nature will provide the decorations with beautiful fall leaves.
Everyone knows the most important part of the party is the food, so I’ve rounded up a few Oktoberfest food ideas to share with you today.
- You’ve got to have brats, beer brats are even better!
- German Oktoberfest Potato Salad
- Black Forest Cake
- Cabbage and Kielbasa
- Oktoberfest pretzels
The celebration of Oktoberfest began in 1810, and traditionally runs between September 16th and October 3rd. We have a huge Oktoberfest celebration in our area the first weekend of October. Everyone has a ton of fun, and the food is always fabulous!
