It’s the final stretch for the 50th wedding anniversary party I’ve been helping put together, so it’s crunch time. This week all the real work begins. Yesterday we baked two hundred cupcakes, and the two small cakes that will go together to make one, and sit on top of the cupcake tower to hold the wedding topper.
We also put together a dozen quick floral arrangements for the guest tables. These will be paired with some gold floating candles we found to decorate the tables.

This week I’ll be finishing up the 50th Wedding anniversary party I’ve been talking about, so it’s down to the wire. The menu is all planned out, but we still need to make the food, including tons of slicing and dicing, cooking, and baking throughout the week this week.
I’m making a cupcake tower with a small cake on top of the tower with their original wedding cake topper on top, so I’m going to be baking cupcakes and cake the next couple days. I’ll also be making some tiny icing flowers to top the cupcakes with.

I’m helping plan a 50th wedding anniversary open house for later this summer. We’ve been planning out the meal, and getting all the decorating ideas in order, so I thought I’d share a few with you here.
The color scheme is going to be gold (of course), shades of cream/ivory, with accents in purple. I think those colors really look good together.
