I think Christmas weddings are beautiful! With whites and reds, or greens, and the spirit of the holiday season, what’s not to love about a wedding at Christmas time?
I have a couple Christmas wedding decorating ideas to share with you today. I know, it’s only August, and Christmas is still 5 months away. If you’re planning a wedding, that’s not very long to get everything together, so you should already be at least in the planning stage.

Last Minute Party Appetizers

Did you just decide to have a few friends over for a spur of the moment party and now you need some quick appetizer ideas? Well, look no further. Here’s a quick list of a few easy appetizers that can be thrown together in a jiffy:
Cut of cubes of meat and cheese and stick a toothpick in each.
Cut up vegetables such as carrots, cucumbers and celery. Serve with ranch dressing.
Sliced fruit with store bought fruit dip
Chex mix or other nut mixes
Cut up fruit
Decorative crackers (Ritz makes some holiday ones)
Bread toast with spreadable cheeses

Progressive dinners are one of my favorite ways to throw a party. This is a way for everyone to get involved and not leave the party planning all up to one person. It’s also a way for people to open their homes for the holiday season and share a bit of their lives with friends and family.

Christmas Party Idea #2 – Touring the Lights of the City

This is a fun Christmas party idea that requires a little bit of traveling. I call it a “Touring the Lights of the City” party. Set up a tour of your city Christmas lights and you can even make maps if you’d like. Have everyone meet at your house to set up the city tour caravan. It’s a good idea to exchange cell phone numbers, if you don’t already have them, just in case you get separated. Set a scheduled time for everyone to meet back at the house.
