May is the perfect time to plan a backyard celebration. In many places the bugs haven’t taken over the picnic area yet, and the weather is warm, but not unbearably hot. Here are some reasons to break out the grill, or plan a party in May:
May is a big month for graduation parties.
May 1st is May Day, so break out the May pole.
May 5th is Cinco De Mayo
Celebrate your favorite teacher on may 5th for National Teacher’s Day
May 10th celebrate Mom on Mother’s Day
May 18th is Victoria Day (in Canada)

My favorite part of Cinco De Mayo celebrations are the bright vibrant color schemes. I love the simple ideas they presented here.
