The View From My Window

This month the Lifestyles Network is celebrating the view from our window. One of the best things about my house is the view (it’s definitely not the fact that it was built in the 1800’s and has no electric plug ins).
This is the back yard view. On Friday, and sometimes Saturday nights during the spring, summer, and early fall, there is usually a fire in the fire ring, and a couple of my husbands friends sitting around it picking the guitar. We usually keep our little parties simple with hot dogs, marshmallows, and s’mores, or brats on the grill. I love that our house seems to be the gathering spot, because I always know where my husband is, and I don’t have to drive home after the party.

Ah Linette, I think we should start a century home support group. I have electrical outlets, but the no A/C is killing me!

Sandy, No AC here either:( It’s been soooo hot already this summer we may have to break down and put a window unit in. Then we can at least have one cool room. We have so many big trees, and thick brick walls the heat usually doesn’t get unbearable until late July (then only for a week or two), but this year’s crazy hot already!
