I’ll still be here bringing you party and entertaining tips and tricks. I’m also a couple other places at Blisstree. I’ll still be blogging at Play Library, bringing you all the greatest playthings and ideas out there for you and your kids.

I’m also one of the new Food and Nutrition bloggers at Blisstree, where I’ll be sharing more of the recipes and nutrition tips since I don’t get a chance to share all of them here at She Knows Parties.

There are two great bloggers at Guerilla Parenting, Gayla McCord and Kadi Prescott.

I have a nine year old so I’m always visiting for parenting insight.

Kadi has first hand experience with Supernanny, her family was the subject of an episode not too long ago.  She’s the mom of 7, so she definitely has some experience in the parenting area.

Gayla has four teens at home, so I take interest in what she has to say, since I’m sure I’ll be facing the same issues in a few years with my own son. We’ve already had battles over when he can have a cell phone. He thinks now, I think later, much later.

Summertime and the Living’s Easy has some great advice on how to keep your children on the learning path, even during summer break.

b5Media’s Lifestyles Channel is having a party this month, a 3 Doors Down party. This means we get to introduce you to some of the blogs three doors down from ours.

As someone who likes to cross stitch now and then and also has a sewing basket practically piled to the ceiling, Tangled Thread is one of the blogs on my RSS feed. As a Mom, I also like the easy kids crafts like this simple felt flower, for instance. Right now, Chloe has a major How to Make Silk Paper series going on. I enjoy scrap booking, and rubber stamping. I just don’t get much time to do work on my paper crafting projects.

I asked Katelyn a couple questions about her stamping history.

She Knows Parties: How long have you been stamping?

Katelyn: I got started when I was 12 and my mom gave me a cheap stamping set. It just grew (and grew) from there.

She Knows Parties: How did you get started in stamping, card making, etc.?

Katelyn: When I spent way too much on supplies, I started
making cards for resale. I lost my best places to sell when I moved out of
state and began leaning toward mixed media art. I do a lot of pieces on
canvas that use scrap booking techniques as gifts. People love them.

She Knows Parties: What’s your favorite project?

Katelyn: My favorite project is the nest phrase I made with wooden letters I
decorated, but I also like the Thanks, Soldier piece I did as a sample for a
class the other day.

Katelyn has several projects for birthday cards, thank you cards, gift tags, garland, and more. Many of the pieces would also make great gifts, or party favors.
