We picked out the best photos and organized them into a scrapbook, complete with funny captions. Today those are my favorite photos to look back at when I want to remember my wedding. For me they’re even better than the posed images the photographer took.

We had a ton of fun making that album. It was so fun to get together and talk. We actually repeated the scrapbook party each time one of us got married.

Girls night scrapbook parties are my favorite type of party. Pictures give you wonderful topics for conversation. You can laugh over them, cry over them, or just share memories. They’re a wonderful reason to have a party. The activities are already planned, you’re going to scrapbook and share stories. All you have to do is come up with food and drinks.

Simple fingerfoods, and wine go great with a scrapbook party, so don’t make the food too complicated. You can even have each of your friends bring a favorite dish.

You’ll have a great time, catch up on the latest gossip, and when you’re done you’ll have some finished pages in your scrapbook.

You can each work on your own scrapbook, or all of you can join together to complete a scrapbook project together, like the wedding album my friends put together after my wedding.

Set up a garnish tray with toothpicks, olives, strawberries, slices of lemon, lime, orange, cherries, celery, whipped cream, and stir sticks. Set the containers on a tray of ice to keep them cool and fresh.

If you don’t have an outdoor refrigerator fill a large cooler half full of ice to set your pitchers, or blender containers in to keep them cool.

Decorate with palm trees, flip flops, and grass skirts. Don’t forget to play some Jimmy Buffet, or Beach Boy tunes to set the mood.

You can stock the bar yourself, or ask each guest to bring a bottle of something. Stick to a couple drinks to keep things simple. You don’t have to be a master mixer, just use your favorite recipes to mix up some fun.

Offer 7 or 8 samples, and let the party goers discuss their favorites. Include little note pads for each guest so they can jot down notes about the aroma, appearance, and flavor of the selections. Make sure to include water and crackers between the tasting stations for guests to clean their pallets.

You don’t have to stick to one thing, you can combine a wine tasting, and cheese tasting, or wine and chocolate.

Tasting parties are great for indoor, or outdoor parties. You may want to switch from fragile stemware to a hardier glass if you’re doing your wine tasting on the deck.

You don’t have to stick to wine, cheese, or chocolate. Do a tasting of your favorite foods, or recipes. Just have fun with it!

You can plan a spa night party and hire a masseuse, or a nail technician to give massages or manicures with the money you would have spent on gas, meals, and drinks. Have everyone bring a big towel and their favorite nail polish. Set up a foot bath station, a nail station, and even a relaxation or meditation station.

Have everyone bring their favorite finger food to snack on, and their favorite mixers if you want to make mixed drinks.

You can make it a no stress night to laugh, catch up and reminisce with the bride to be. Take turns telling your favorite stories, and jokes. Scrap book a page or two for the bridal book, or watch your favorite movie.
