You’ll need one large round cake and a large square or oval cake, with a nesting of round cake cutters that get smaller.

Here are a couple more ideas for Halloween cakes.

This first one is Dracula coming out of his coffin. Made with layers of cake for the coffin, and Dracula is made of fondant.

Here’s a spider cake. You can make the spider from fondant, or gum paste. This cake is iced with fondant, but you could also use buttercream, and pipe on the spiders web. Use fondant, and little star fondant cutters to make the stars.

All of these cakes were behind glass, so they have a little glare.

My favorite baby shower theme cake was this one with all of it’s details and adorable fondant baby blanket.

The little rubber duck theme is very popular for baby showers. This duck cake would make an adorable addition.

I really like this cake with the cradle, stars and moons. I wish I could have captured a better shot of it. It would be adorable for a little boy’s baby shower, or a lullaby theme baby shower.

Maybe next year I’ll get brave enough to enter one of my own creations. There were many more beautiful cakes  for weddings and birthdays. I might be back with a few more in the next few days.

First up, pizza cake. My sister made a pizza cake for her son’s birthday not too long ago. She made a large round vanilla cake for the deep dish crust, and topped it with strawberry jam for the tomato sauce.

Shredded white chocolate made the cheese, and she used red Fruit Rollups cut into circles for pepperoni, and yellow Fruit Rollups cut thin to make banana peppers. Gummy worms chopped up look like green peppers.

Milk, semi sweet, and white chocolate chips, all melted together, it doesn’t get any better than that!

Groom’s cakes have evolved through the years and these days they’re often created to include the groom’s personality. Here are some ideas just for the groom and his cake.

Highlight the grooms attire, or the color of the wedding with a tuxedo cake.

I found this rockin’ guitar cake by Charm City Cakes (I love Duff, shhh! don’t tell my husband), all their cakes rock, but check out how they make this really cool guitar cake.

Sounds a little complicated! Maybe I’ll just make a guitar on a cake? We’ll see!

This cake would be a ton of fun for a kid’s pizza party, or even a birthday for someone who’s a kid at heart. Slide it in with the real pizzas and no one will know the difference until they cut into it.

We got a special delivery of one of My Pizza Cakes signature creations this week. So we gave it a taste test. The cake itself is chocolate chip, and it’s topped with a red butter cream icing to look like the pizza sauce. The mushrooms and pepperoni are made from chocolate, the green peppers and cheese are made from icing.

It was fun to taste the cake. We enjoyed cutting a slice just to see what it looked like, and tasting all the different “pizza” ingredients to see what they would taste like. My favorite part was the “crust,” and the “sauce.”

They have several pizza cakes to choose from for birthdays, graduation, and backyard barbecues. Their Must Have Meat pizza would be perfect for a Father’s Day celebration this summer.

My Pizza Cake is located in Cincinnati Ohio, but they can deliver to most locations in the United States, Summer delivery only via overnight.

I have the complete instructions for making the cakes at Kid’s Birthday Fun. It was the most ambitious cake I’ve ever attempted, and overall I was pleased with the results. It wasn’t perfect, but most of the flaws were minor.

This made a really cute cake for a baby shower. We used black and yellow plates, napkins and cups. You could also use this cake for a first birthday party, or lighten the bear for a Winnie the Pooh party.

Check out the official LEGO® Brick Cake/Jelly Mould. According to the company you can just mix up a cake or jelly recipe and pour it into this fun, brick-shaped mould  pan to create tasty desserts shaped like real LEGO bricks! Makes six individual 2 1/2″ snacks! The mould is dishwasher and microwave safe and can be used at temperatures of up to 210º C or 410º F.

There’s also a Minifigure Ice Lollipop Mould. You can make your own delicious frozen Lego minifigure treats with this unique popsicle mould! I think it would also work well for molding chocolate party treats. One tray will make 3 minifigure popsicles at a time.
