An idea for all who are losing weight: pass it down

I’m running out of clothes. So far, I’ve lost 18 pounds… and nothing in my closet fits right, anymore. Are you losing weight, and dreading the idea of shelling out money for a new wardrobe? Especially for an interim size?

Here’s my idea: PASS IT DOWN.
I’m swiftly shrinking out of my size 10 clothes. I have some nice stuff, and while I could Freecycle it, put it on eBay, or otherwise try to dispose of it, I thought perhaps I’d encourage others who are losing weight with an interim wardrobe as they pass through the larger sizes to their ideal weight.
I don’t want to have to go out and buy a whole new wardrobe! I can’t afford it, even at thrift and consignment shops. Maybe there’s someone out there who moved out of her size 8’s and into 6’s.
I’m sure there’s a woman out there on her way to a size 10! What do you think?
In order for this to work, we have to pass it on and pass it around. It will take some time, but maybe we’ll start a way for women doing good for themselves to do good for others. Am I crazy? Anybody else want to get in on this deal? I’d like to be able to give my clothes away for free, with the stipulation that, if they are in good shape when the next woman has moved down a size, she’ll pass it on to the next woman on her way down the scale.
I’m going to put a hashtag on Twitter called #passitdown. If you’ve got a Twitter account, follow Solomother and let’s see what we can start.
