Maclaren stroller recalled after a dozen amputations

That got your attention, didn’t it?

Seems that a popular stroller can clip a kid’s finger off when it’s unfolding. The Wall Street Journal, the Christian Science Monitor and ABC News are just a few of the outlets covering the story, but I found out about it from a fellow Mom, who pointed me to Daddy Types. What to do?

If you have any of the nine Maclaren double or single umbrella strollers–Easy Traveler, Quest Mod, Quest Sport, Techno XLR, Techno XT, Triumph, Twin Techno, Twin Triumph, and Volo–purchased between 1999 and November 2009, you need to contact Maclaren for a hinge cover to correct the design defect.

Call Maclaren toll free, between the hours of 8AM and 5PM Monday through Friday: (877) 688-2326
or visit their website, www.maclarenbaby.com
