Solo Mother

Oh no she di’nt!

The Single Mom I’d Most Like to Meet turned 35 recently, and grew up in more ways than one.

She found her ex’s profile on a dating site, and did what so many of us have fantasized: she gave it a little truth in advertising makeover.

My heart was in my mouth as I read Rachel Sarah’s account of coming across her ex on a popular dating site. Holy cow, could you imagine? Some of you fabulous SoloMother readers have expressed a longing for the anti-date site, where those of us in the know could post information about these so-called matches…

But in the end, the low road usually leaves those of us with higher aspirations feeling a bit… blerg. Especially when you run into said ex…

And as fate would have it, the next day, as I picked Mae up at camp, Yanay happened to drive past us. Berkeley is a small town and we were bound to run into each other. He was holding a cigarette out the car window, and when he saw Mae he dropped it onto the street.

If you’re not familiar with Rachel Sarah, author of “Single Mom Seeking: Playdates, Blind Dates, and Other Dispatches from the Dating World”, you really should head on over to any of her wonderful web addresses and say hello.

There is a site called “don’t date him girl” where you can tell people the so called ‘truth’ about your exes, some of the accounts on there are pretty gruesome!!

    http://www.dontdatehimgirl.com/

It is a site for the whole world, I’ve seen a guy on there who is also on a dating site here in Aus, so I know to give him a wide berth! (although tbh, the profile itself suggested that also hahaha)

Apparently there is also a “don’t date her guy.com” in the making…

Carrie, thanks for jogging my memory! I thought there was something like that on the Net.

I’m going to have to check that out.

    :)
