Why do you do what you do?
Answer this: why DO you do what you do?
A simple question with no easy answer. Michelle Sullivan’s answer on “Why do you do what you do” was simply, “Life is short”.
A car accident, with a little one in the back seat and eight months pregnant caused her to take stock of her life and turn it upside down. There are two things she writes in her explanation, two things I would like you to take to heart, amid the amazing words she has to share with mothers everywhere.
The first thing: “To value oneself in a role that the world does not acknowledge is a formidable challenge and the exploration of what life is short really means has been a subtle and sometimes painful process.”
The second: “Life is short. There is no promise of its length or conclusion. And our greatest contribution might very well be invisible to the world.”
For all the sacrifices and joys we have as mothers, be proud, be strong, be true.
