The end of the day is fast approaching. (And it’s already dark outside.) What’s for dinner? Lately, we’ve been craving the comfort that soup provides. It’s warm, hearty, and reminds us of countless childhood dinners where the soup may or may not have ended up all over the dining room table. (Hey, we were just trying to spell our name with the alphabet noodles.) Hence, this week our five video moments of nostalgic zen are all soup commercials from our childhoods. Can you smell that? 6 p.m. is coming fast (at least on the East Coast). To celebrate the end of yet another Monday, we present our weekly five video moments of nostalgic zen — this time, brought to you by anti-drug PSAs from your childhood. We know you’ve been waiting for this all day — your five moments of nostalgic zen. This week, it’s a Halloween-themed zen-sesh. We’ve got the trailers of horror flicks that were released when we were kids. We may have been too young to watch them, but that didn’t stop us from sneaking into the theater and, consequently, sleeping with the lights on for a week. Okay, maybe these films aren’t particularly “zen,” but they do bring us back to our childhoods. Let us know the first horror film you saw in the comments section. Be sure to include how many nights you had to sleep in your parents’ bedroom after seeing it — you big baby. More
The work day is officially over. That’s totally fine with us — we’re guessing that you’re also glad it’s after 6 p.m. (at least on the east coast). To help you unwind, we present our weekly five moments of nostalgic zen. Today we’re featuring clips from our favorite Halloween TV specials from childhood to soothe your stressed-out mind during this spooky season. So sit back, grab some Sixlets, and allow yourself to be transported back to simpler times when Halloween was all about candy corn, pillowcases as candy bags, and Linus waiting in the pumpkin patch.
Are you as resentful of the fact that you had to work on Columbus Day as we are? We thought as much. So, to help us all transition from pouty-work-mode into chill-the eff-out-mode, we present our weekly five video moments of nostalgic zen, brought to you today by all the junk food you enthusiastically ate as a kid. (And perhaps consume less of now?) For what are happy childhood memories if not Ho Ho-induced hallucinations and meltdowns at McDonald’s? More

Inhale, click play, and be transported back to a simpler time. Just don’t blame us if you suddenly have the urge to get your Transformers out of storage. More
