The Supreme Court’s decision in the Ledbetter v. Goodyear case in May severely limited the ability of victims of pay discrimination to vindicate their rights under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. The Ledbetter Fair Pay Act restores the law to how it was previously applied to be consistent with Congress’ intent and the Court’s own precedents.
