ADEAR (Alzheimer’s Disease Education & Referral Center) offers much information about this disease, including free and low cost publications to help families deal with various aspects of caregiving and coping. These include anger, resource list, caregiving basics, coping with stress, long-term care questions, holiday hints for AD caregivers, and more.
You can download the free ones from the ADEAR site and send for the print publications at a small cost, $2.00 to $7.50.
ADEAR is a branch of the National Institute on Aging.

Approximately 8,500 resource materials related to Alzheimer’s disease are available at the ADEAR Center’s AD Library for you to access online. ADEAR (Alzheimer’s Disease Education & Resource), associated with the National Institute of Aging offers much information about Alzheimer’s, caregiving, and health.
The database in the AD Library contains many materials not available elsewhere. There are journal articles, brochures, videos, newsletters, fact sheets, reports and more.

A great place to find information about Alzheimer’s disease and caregiving is ADEAR, Alzheimer’s Disease Education and Referral Center (http://www.nia.nih.gov/Alzheimers/Resources/ ), affiliated with the National Institute on Aging.
Here are many topics to research and information to glean in assisting you in caring for someone with AD or Alzheimer’s disease. I find this agency has much to offer the person who has hardly any knowledge of this disease, as well as someone who has been caring for an Alzheimer’s patient for a number of years.
