We’ve been getting into the Christmas spirit here at home, too. Last night and this morning hubby was busy painting and decorating a large piece of board we had stashed here somewhere to create our own Advent Calendar. We used only the things we had about the house, so don’t expect anything special. The little guy thinks it’s wonderful, though. In each of the cups we’ve stashed a little toy or sweet to discover each day. I like it, even if it can’t compare with fancier ideas I’ve seen elsewhere.

2008 Advent Calendar Now Live

Apparently last year Heather Blakey said there would not be a 2008 Advent Calendar, but looks like she wasn’t serious. Good thing for us. Read all about her gorgeous and inspiring advent calendars on the lens at Squido. The fun part is you get a journal writing prompt to use for each day the calendar and you get to go back and look any time of the year even after Christmas is well and truly over. Keep your eye on the lens or any of Heather’s many blogs to learn when the advent calendar will be available.
