We are all aware of the fact that salt and sodium causes our blood pressure to become high. The lack of certain foods will cause low potassium, which may cause high blood pressure as well.
A study on the effects of potassium and blood pressure was carried out on 3,300 subjects at the Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Half of the subjects were African American. The study showed a finding which states that the amount of potassium in the urine is related to high blood pressure.
