More about ‘All About Alzheimer’s’ Carnival.

A couple of days ago I posted a reminder about this month’s upcoming ‘All About Alzheimer’s’ carnival. But I must be getting a little forgetful myself because I didn’t add in the cut off date for submissions and what date the carnival would be posted.
But thanks to a quick email from my co-blogger Mary Emma, I discovered my forgetfulness.
So for any of you considering submitting a post to the ‘All About Alzheimer’s’ Carnival, here’s the full scoop…
Submissions can be made on the official submission form.
Last day for submissions is 17 January 2008.
The carnival will be posted on 19 January 2008.

Alzheimer’s Notes Included in Blogosphere Round-Up

AlzheimersNotes.com
Alzheimer’s in the Blogosphere, at Battling Alzheimer’s by Michael Davidsen, included Alzheimer’s Notes and Liz Lewis’ post, Brain Food for Alzheimer’s patients and their caregivers, in a round-up of blogs about this disease and caregiving.
The blog posts include articles and stories about Alzheimer’s, caregiving, humor and information, by victims, caregivers, family members, and researchers.  If you take time to check out these posts and poscast reruns, you’ll have a much better understanding of the disease and what those involved encounter.
Hopefully you’ll receive comfort and inspiration, too.

“Why Do I Blog?” – Check Out the Business Channel Challenge Week #8

 AlzheimersNotes.com
Blogging has become an important part of many caregivers’ lives, as well as numerous other people.  It keeps caregivers in touch with others in similar situations and helps them they can find encouragment.
Also, Alzheimer’s patients can visit one another’s blogs, leave comments and e-mail others so they don’t feel so alone in their unique world.
Whole Alzheimer’s patients and caregiver support communities have grown up around bloggers who link their blogs on blogrolls and web rings.
The question, “Why do you blog?” has become the determining factor in the final (8th)week of the challenge at the b5 Business Channel.  The blogs have …read more

Head over to Carol’s blog Mothering Mother and More and discover her reasons for the movies on the list. It’s quite inspiring. (when you get to Carol’s site, click on blog at the left of the screen and then scroll …read more

Alzheimer’s Notes Blogger Interviewed on Work From Home Momma

The blog, Work From Home Momma, features an interview about my writing and other business experiences.  This interview, by Laura Spencer,  is the first in her Work at Home Interview Series about women, particularly moms (and, in my case, a grandmother as well).
As Laura says, “Today’s interview is with Mary Emma Allen, who began as a dressmaker and eventually transitioned to the writing and blogging business.”
One of my writing projects, after caring for my mom and aunt, who had Alzheimer’s, was the book, When We Become the Parent to Our Parents.  Now I’m writing this blog with Liz Lewis to inform and …read more

Alzheimer’s Notes Bloggers Interviewed

In case you’ve ever wanted to know more about the bloggers who write Alzheimer’s Notes, you can stop by  Yvonne Russell’s blog.  Recently she interviewed me for the article,  The Web – Your Partner in Promotion, at Grow Your Writing Business. Although this interview refers to one of my other b5media’s blogs, Home Biz Notes, it provides a view of my thoughts about writing and living in today’s Internew world.
Yvonne also interviewed Liz in March and April, about the time Liz began writing at Alzheimer’s Notes.  Actually this was a four-part interview series and is an enjoyable read that gives you insight into Liz’s world.
Incidentally, …read more
