Summer Food Ideas for Alzheimer’s Caregivers & Patients

      Having trouble tempting the Alzheimer’s patient to eat nourishing foods during hot summer days?  Or having trouble getting them to eat at all?
Also, what about yourself? Caregivers need to care for themselves with proper nutrition.  Sometimes life seems so hectic that good eating habits for ourselves are neglected.

An Apple a Day to Keep the Alzheimer’s Away?

Remember the saying ‘an apple a day keeps the doctor away’. Well, it might not be the only thing it keeps away. Studies in the past few years have been looking into whether consuming apples helps reduce the risk of Alzheimer’s disease.

More Interest in Juices to Slow Down Alzheimer’s

I learned about another publication that’s posting information about drinking vegetable and fruit juices, at least three times a week, to help slow down Alzheimer’s disease.  Possibly this research is getting attention because it’s such an easy thing to do…drink more nutritious juices.
There’s no assurance this is a cure, but research seems to indicate that this practice could be helpful.  Also, since juices are good for your health in general, you may be inproving your overall health.
