Isn’t is fascinating that people can work together from all parts of the globe these days whether it’s to exchange views on a topic, collaborate on research, give encouragement, provide news, or simply chat? This has become such a “shrinking” world as far as people forming business and personal friendships and collaborating on research and news about diseases such as Alzheimer’s.
As others have said, “Dementia [Alzheimer's] is a disease that knows no boundaries.” It encompasses all nationalities, all races, all economic levels, all cultures, all lifestyles, male and female, generally the older people, but younger [early onset], too.

Even though I live in the United States and have sought the resources I needed for Mother and Auntie through agencies located here, I realize Alzheimer’s is a world wide disease. Caregivers around the globe are seeking information and encouragement.
One of the organizations I’ve discovered is the Alzheimer’s Society in the United Kingdom (http://www.alzheimers.org.uk ). If you live in those countries, you may find helpful information through this web site.
Much of the information about Alzheimer’s and dementia and encouragement for caregivers is universal. However, some of the resources will be different. Do let me know what’s available in your country or what I can do …read more
