Childhood Memories Affect Alzheimer’s Patients’ Acceptance of Caregivers

Recently, while talking with a friend who takes care of Alzheimer’s patients’ dietary needs at a nursing home, I gained insight into why there might be unacceptance of some caregivers. This can be influenced by childhood memories of the Alzheimer’s patients.
If your family member refuses food and care from someone, try to determine if there is any correlation between that caregiver (personality, nationality, race, size) and a memory or incident in the patient’s earlier life. Did your family member have an adversion to someone similar?
