As promised in my previous post, Treatment Options for Menorrhagia, here’s my interview with the doctor who performed the one-millionth NovaSure ablation, Dr. Scott Shade, an obstetrician/gynecologist at Rockwood Clinic in Spokane, Washington. The NovaSure procedure permanently removes the endometrial lining that causes menstrual bleeding.

Please use birth control, even if you’re anorexic !

Most of you will not be surprised to hear what I’m going to say:

You can get pregnant even if you don’t have your period.

Yep, it’s what everyone learns in junior high (maybe middle school). But for anorexics (and some bulimics), it’s worth repeating.
Why am I bringing this up? Well, a friend who is seriously anorexic and hasn’t had her period in 6+ years slept with a person a couple of months ago.
