Here we go again. The word sex… Oh boy you say? There is a new book that has hit bookshelves and boy is it ever needed. When was the last time anyone in the health care profession asked you about your sex life? Probably a very long time.

Stem cell research has caused much controversy over the last few years. Is it a scientific point of contention, a political battle or a religious debate? Different people have very different views on the topic. If my parents taught me one lesson as a youngin’, it is not to talk about religion or politics.

Remember your preschool days when you were taught the ABC’s? Did you know that even as adults these three letters are important to your health?
While the management of blood sugar has always been and remains a cornerstone of diabetes care, diabetes requires a comprehensive program that includes management of blood glucose, management of blood pressure and management of cholesterol. Alternative or complimentary treatments have been of interest in helping with the treatment of many diseases. How many of you have friends or relatives that use vitamins or supplemental minerals and herbs to aid their medical regimen? I know I do. My mom’s medicine cabinet looks like a pharmacy gone bad.
