Fun Friday: Talking Pets

My pets did not like it when I played this video! I don’t know what they think they’re hearing, or if they just suspected we had brought home yet another four-legged family member, but there was some snuffling and growling going on down at my feet.
The video is a compilation of various other videos on Youtube and showcases “talking” pets. This story is disturbing, so be forewarned.
A Petland employee in Akron, Ohio, has been let go from her job at the nationwide pet store chain after allegedly drowning a pair of rabbits in a back room of the store, and then posting the pictures to her Facebook.
Elizabeth Carlisle is shown in the picture holding up two wet, dead rabbits with a big smile plastered on her face. Who took the picture? Her manager, of course. Carlisle wrote in her Facebook:

It covers about 1,200 acres of land, and is a pioneer in environmental education and native wildlife rehabilitation. It also has active captive breeding and plant propagation programs. The organization …read more

The latest reality help-tv, Supernanny-styled show is all about the dogs. “It’s Me or the Dog” nips at the heels of the “Dog Whisperer,” seeking to bring domestication and harmony into chaotic animal owning households. Playing the part of Supernanny Jo Frost, is Victoria Stilwell, who brings her wisdom and training to bear on these unbearable critters.
Allow me a moment to rant.
PETS ARE NOT PEOPLE!
I understand there can be similarities in behavior; I have three young children. I understand emotional attachment; I grew up with dogs and cats and loved …read more
