As my husband and I celebrated our anniversary yesterday, I looked back on years of adventure and learning, of the various phases of life, of a daughter and grandchildren, careers and businesses, travels and ups and downs.
Should I plan something representing our life, either a quilt or mixed media collage?  The more I think of it, the more it seems a possibility.
What should I include?  Where will I research?

I’m trying to figure out what I think about dating anniversaries.
Some couples celebrate anniversaries while they are dating.  There seem to be a lot of variations in these anniversaries and I have no idea what the right answers are for determining these.  How often do you celebrate?  It could be every week, month, year?  And even more importantly, how do you decide on your official day to celebrate?  Is it the first meeting, date, kiss, night you slept together, or day you decided to be exclusive?

I thwarted two wedding proposals before I met Rick. One would have ended in divorce either because he was cheating on me or I would finally get fed up with his bigoted, racist, redneck ways. I don’t know if you remember this, but on our wedding day, “Time After Time” by Cyndi Lauper was the #1 song, Ron Guidry pitched for the Yankees, who beat the Twins 2-1,Mario Lemieux signed with the Penguins, the Celtics beat the Lakers, Swale beat out Funny Cide at the Belmont…and we were in a little church in New Jersey.
