Sour Cream Apple Pie

Yesterday afternoon I realized that I had some apples sitting on the counter that should be used pretty soon. I had bought a bunch last week and the kids had snacked on them over the last few days, but the last four sitting there were begging to be baked into something.

I didn’t have enough for my usual apple pie and I wanted to shake things up a bit anyway. I did a search for apple recipes and came across this one for a Sour Cream Apple Pie. I had never heard of it before and luckily I had everything on …read more

Mary Emma’s Thankful Poem

MY THANKFUL POEM
I’m thankful for:
My daughter’s return to health
My grandchildren who keep our life exciting
The sparkle of sun on snow
The song of the chickadees in morning
The wagging greeting of our dog when we get home
The squealing guinea pig who makes us laugh
My ability to write and inspire others
The colorful leaves around our home in autumn
The scent of apple pie baking
The memories of growing up on a farm
The friends who lift me up when I’m sad
My love of travel
Thank you, Lord, for all the joys in my life.
What are you thankful for?
Did you take my challenge of writing a Thankful Poem?
