The day before serving, generously butter a deep 2 qt. baking dish.
Line bottom and sides with some of the bread slices – start with bottom &
Trim slices as needed for the sides to catch pudding as it puffs.

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk and ½ cup of the sugar, & the vanilla.
Pour half of the milk mixture over the bread. Top with the sliced apples and raisins.
Put the remaining bread slices on top to cover the apples.
Set the dish on a plate or pan to catch any overflow, then pour the remaining milk mixture on top.
In a small bowl, stir together the other ½ cup of sugar, the cinnamon & nutmeg.
Sprinkle the sugar mixture over the top of the bread.
Dot the bread pudding with the butter.
Cover & refrigerate 6-8 hours or overnight.
Preheat over to 350 degrees. Uncover the dish and place it in the middle of the oven.
Bake until the top is browned and a knife inserted into the center comes out clean, 45 min. – 1 hr.
Serve on individual plates with hot maple syrup or heavy cream that is slightly thickened.

Am I the only one who pretends I’m Bill Gates watching those Apple commercials? How does Bill Gates feel watching those commercials?
It makes me giggle because it’s true. It’s sooo true.
And it’s about freaking time they included some women.
OK – I just love that they called her genius instead of geek. Not that I don’t love the name, Geek Squad. I so do. I just love that they were presumptuous enough to use the word Genius.

(When did you first lean about blogging?) Without sounding like “duh, how last week”, I think podcasts are the new huge deal.

In case you knew they existed, but didn’t quite get the true definition, here’s a refresher from podcastalley.com:

Podcasting, created by former MTV VJ Adam Curry, is a term that was devised as a crisp way to describe the technology used to push audio content from websites down to consumers of that content, who typically listen to it on their iPod (hence the “pod”) or other audio player that supports mp3 at their convenience. The term podcasting is

Just think about what you can do with a podcast at work. Let’s use the weekly staff meeting as an example (the logistics of which make you want to take a nap.):

First and foremost: book a conference room

Order the bagels and coffee

Write an agenda

Muck about on issues that got should have been in the “parking space”

Set up a separate meeting for “parking space” issues

Transcribe the notes (’cause your assistant will be sick that day)

Follow up.

Now, all you have to do is record all your info and relevant (read cool) images on a podcast (not the photo of you and your dog though) upload it to your department’s shared hard drive, ask people to read and respond and you’re done.
