According to Consumer Reports, the trend towards using compact refrigerators to save energy might not really be the best choice.  While tall compacts get a better score than short ones, neither are anywhere near as efficient as full sized models for the storage space they provide.  Even if you don’t need the space of a full sized model, compacts use almost as much electricity to run!
Interesting, huh?  I wouldn’t have guessed that would be the case.  I guess we need to think hard before we chose our next fridge!  Here’s a link to CR’s Energy Saving Guides.

HOW MANY TIMES do we have to be frustrated by trying to plug in multiple kitchen appliances and tools that won’t all fit the outlet before someone comes up with a better way?  WHAT GOOD does it do to have a nice group of 4 outlets when you can only use 2 at a time?????
