Toronto’s Romanesque revival style City Hall opened in 1899 and was used by Toronto’s city council until 1965.
The plans to build a new hall involved demolishing the old building but strong feedback from the luckily public moved authorities to scrap any plans to tear down the building.

Unlike most American churches, there are no pews and limited removable seating. This church is lit mostly with hundreds of votive candles, with each candle representing a worshiper’s prayer.

I noticed a line of workers on the scaffolding being erected in the front of the National Archives building in Washington, DC recently.
Like a bucket brigade, the workers passed piping from one to another to build the 13 level scaffold.
