]]> I’ve loved making hand-made books for years, whether it’s decorating the cover or building one from scratch.

I just found this fantastic site with step-by-step instructions for making a handmade book using Coptic binding, a technique that’s been around for almost 2000 years!

Like I needed another project :-)

]]> Noreen over at Hankering for Yarn has been running a great series on how to make & bind your own notebooks.  I love making my own books as well (runs in the family apparently :-) )  You can see the first post here – make sure you go & check them all out!

I’m going to share some of my own embroidered books in the next post.  They can be a fun way of using up small experiments, samples or other emphera that builds up in studios.. or at least seems to build up in my studio!
