Stools let me get stuff done. Or maybe it is because they are so functional and attractive. Whatever the reason, I do know one thing for sure. The stools I&#8217;ve been seeing on some of the handmade sites, like Art Fire and Etsy? Droolworthy!</p>
<div id="attachment_91896" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 124px"><img class="size-full wp-image-91896" src="http://www.blisstree.com/files/2009/06/still-novo-design.jpg" alt="Photo via Still Novo Design/ArtFire.com" width="114" height="88" /><p class="wp-caption-text">Photo via Still Novo Design/ArtFire.com</p></div>
<p>On Art Fire, I am a big fan of <a href="http://www.artfire.com/modules.php?name=Shop&amp;seller_id=21563">Still Novo Design</a>. This artisan makes some of the most amazing recycled wood stools I have ever seen. They have a wonderful simplicity to them and would be ideal for a room with Asian inspired decor.</p>
<p>On Etsy, my favorite stool has got to be the sweet little tuffet by <a href="http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=24949602&amp;ref=sr_gallery_14&amp;&amp;ga_search_query=stool&amp;ga_search_type=handmade&amp;ga_page=9&amp;order=date_desc&amp;includes[]=tags&amp;includes[]=title">Branch &amp; Birdie</a>. Can&#8217;t you just see Little Miss Muffet plopping herself down on it to eat her curds and whey?</p>
<p>Oh, and <a href="http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=20389963&amp;ref=sr_gallery_4&amp;&amp;ga_search_query=stool&amp;ga_search_type=handmade&amp;ga_page=3&amp;order=date_desc&amp;includes[]=tags&amp;includes[]=title">Studio Stebby Lee</a> has got to have the most unique stool I&#8217;ve seen. It is covered in bottle caps and has a fun and funky look.</p>
<p>Of course, since I already have a stool (or two) in every room, I&#8217;m only window shopping today!</p>
<p>Are you a fan of the versatile stool or am I alone in my adoration of this type of furniture?</p>
