For most people the idea of using collage as a journal technique is met with a laugh. Most think back to school days when collage involved tearing a little coloured paper and gluing it in place. But new techniques, papers and products have made collage an art form in its own right.

If you’ve heard or read anything about the 1000 Journals project then you might be interested to know that many others are inspired by the idea. I received a journal in the mail today. This is from a community of online journal writers who wanted to recreate something like what is happening at 1000 Journals.

Fiction Journal; Could it Be Real?

Joyce and Kristine Atkinson stumbled onto something really good when they chose to present their novel Journal: The Short Life and Mysterious Death of Amy Zoe Mason as an artistic journal. Readers are gripped from the outset and left wondering if the story is in fact real.
A quick read through the reviews on Amazon even has me intrigued. It makes me wonder if we may see more of these artistic journal style novels in the future. Please share any others you know using the comments section below.
