What if somehow I could give you a day off? I don’t mean the kind of day where you would catch up on all those nagging duties you have. I mean, a real day off; a day that didn’t exist outside of real time. What would you do with this magic day? You wouldn’t need to go to work or do anything you should be doing. You’d be able to do anything you really wanted to. Your kids would be fine and all the meals and other chores would be taken care of for the day.
Remember it’s a magic day. How would you use this gift of a day?

Spend some time writing in your journal about having a gift of one day. Make a list of all the things you would do; par down this list to the most important thing on the list. Write about doing this. Describe how you feel having the freedom to indulge or enjoy this time. What is stopping you from doing this right now? Be realistic, but aim to do this in the very near future. Make an artist date with yourself and give yourself just a little time, not an entire day, unless you can, to take part in this activity.

I hope you enjoy this journal writing prompt. Please share any thoughts in the comment section below.
