With so many and varied tools at our fingertips it can be hard to imagine any of us lack inspiration from time to time. Despite the internet, libraries and any other resource you can name, the fact is, there are moments when inspiration alludes.
I don’t believe this should make you feel worse. In fact, I believe these low moods and lack of motivation is just something we should accept as part of life. As creative beings there is an ebb and flow to life. There are cycles and seasons.

The idea of taking adventures specifically for the purpose of renewing yourself and your perspective is not a new idea. Both Julia Cameron in her book Artist’s Way: A Spiritual Path to Higher Creativity and Judy Reeves in A Writer’s Book of Days: A Spirited Companion and Lively Muse for the Writing Life suggest exactly this.
