]]> With over 50% of deaths among diabetics being attributed to heart disease, how can you ignore research on a type 2 diabetic medication that shows a large increase of cardiac incidences. I think it at least warrants further investigation.

Avandia, a popular drug to treat type 2 diabetes… increased the risk of death from heart problems by 64 percent and the risk of heart attack by 43 percent, U.S. researchers said on Monday.

avandia.jpgDo I think you should run right out and flush your Avandia down the toilet? No indeed. But I do think if you are diabetic, and take this medication, you need to ask your doctor questions. Especially if you have a cardiac history.

Medications can be a small miracles, but they can also cause harm if you are not careful and don’t pay attention to your body, as well as the news surrounding these very same medicines you take. Boy, I know I have said it over 100 times, and you might have grown tired of reading these words, but you have to be your own advocate!
