If you thought figuring out a tee time was complicated, the soon-to-open Nullarbor Links is going to make it a whole lot more confusing for you. Set to open next month (October 22nd, 2009) this will be the longest golf course in the world, stretching nearly 850 miles from Kalgoorlie in Western Australia to Ceduna in South Australia, and will span two time zones.
Let’s just say, you’re probably not going to walk this course!

Steve Irwin’s treasured reserve is under threat from mining. The Steve Irwin Wildlife Reserve is a wetland conservation area in Queensland, Australia. The reserve is a tribute to Irwin, and his family and others are trying to protect all of it.
The Steve Irwin Wildlife Reserve is home to important spring fed wetlands that provide water to rare plants and wildlife.

Supernanny Heads Down Under

Naughty kids and tiny terrors had better watch out – Supernanny Jo Frost is heading Down Under to deal out parenting advice to Australian mums and dads at their wits end.
The Nine Network has been in negotiations with Frost to host a series of specials in Australia, after British and US versions of the program proved to be an unexpected hit for the network. (link)
