Finding the Balance

Today is my first day blogging in the Relationships column. It will take me awhile to be as open and honest about personal experiences as my predecessor Aly Walansky has been, but I do believe that sharing in other’s experiences is a good way to make progress in any situation. Sharing also helps combat feelings of loneliness that are very common these days when we all operate in such a bustling environment. Balance…what balance?
Whether you have one child or fifteen children, creating balance in your home life may seem impossible. For example, my children are out for the summer. We are trying to follow a summer home-school program that allows the kids to retain their acquired knowledge. I have six kids who participate in the program, all ranging from preschool to fourth grade. It can be tricky to “balance” out the amount of time spent helping each kid.
