I haven’t quite figured out why I think this relevant, but it seems to me that this quote could be referenced when answering questions about baldness. It’s from Zebra Question, by Shel Silverstein.
I asked the zebra,
Are you black with white strips?
Or white with black strips?
And the zebra asked me,
Are you good with bad habits?
Or are you bad with good habits?
Are you noisy with quiet times?
Or are you quiet with noisy times?
Are you happy with sad days?

Are you neat with some sloppy ways?

Since I am obsessed with the beautiful weather we have been having in the Pacific Northwest, today’s quote will be not be so much about baldness, but about sun and shade (sometimes we just need to learn when to leave the sun alone). The quote has been brought to you by Jane Austen, from her novel Mansfield Park.
To sit in the shade on a fine day, and look upon verdure is the most perfect refreshment ~ Jane Austen

Intolerance is the Do Not Touch sign on something that cannot bear touching. We do not mind having our hair ruffled, but we will not tolerate any familiarity with the toupee which covers our baldness. ~ Eric Hoffer

Sadly, Mr Luther was mistaken. Women have a lot more to offer than their shiny locks of hair.

Cure Baldness The Victorian Way

During the 1890’s Victorian doctor Thomas Allinsin had some very controversial essays on healthy living published. I believe his opinions would still be called controversial today (or perhaps there is a better word out there – feel free to suggest some). His diaries have just now been republished, and The Independent has published just a bit of what he offered to his public.
Here is what he has to say about baldness:
The causes of baldness are wrong living, improper foods, too many meals, intoxicating drinks, tobacco, strong tea and coffee, late hours, bad air, vicious sensual habits, or anything …read more
